This region, particularly a settlement of the Ionians in ancient times, also gained fame for wine production during the Roman and Byzantine periods. Especially during the Ottoman Empire, the vineyards in and around Urla maintained their importance as a significant wine-producing center.

Today, viticulture in Urla Kuşçular continues sustainably, combining traditional methods with modern techniques. The region boasts a climate and soil profile that allows for the cultivation of both traditional Turkish grape varieties and some internationally renowned French grape types. Located at Kuşçular Köyü Camiatik Mahallesi, Yabangülü Sokak, No:18, Urla, İzmir, our winery, established to produce boutique wines by processing the region's highly valuable grapes, has commenced operations under the name D-VIN URLA.

Our wines, produced from grapes grown in a region situated at the intersection of history, culture, and nature, tell a story with every sip, reflecting years of experience, the simplicity of nature, and the hard work of our family. We aim not just to be known as a wine brand, but to convey to wine lovers a passion born from the fusion of life, nature, and human labor.

The "D" in our name symbolizes the first letter of our family's surname, a symbol that has perpetuated our love for the land and its richness across generations. Combining this symbol with the French word "VIN," meaning "wine," we get D-VIN (Devin), a wordplay that tells the story behind each bunch of grapes – the divine movement of earth, water, sun, and wind, offered in nature's purest form for centuries. Devin, with its inherent power and ultimate wisdom/energy, emphasizes that winemaking is not the final destination but a journey.
